Braces in Charlotte

Year after year, traditional braces are an effective and popular orthodontic option. We attach the metal or ceramic brackets to the teeth, then connected by wires and tiny rubber bands or elastics. These components work together through regular adjustments to apply gentle pressure, gradually moving the teeth into the desired positions.

Braces in Charlotte are an excellent choice for fixing many tooth issues, both simple and complex. Because they sometimes work faster at closing gaps and aligning teeth than other options, you might have a shorter treatment. Braces don’t require some more complicated technology or expensive equipment that newer treatments can, making Charlotte braces an affordable orthodontic option if you’re on a budget.

Invisalign in Charlotte

The Charlotte Invisalign system uses a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually move the teeth into alignment instead of brackets and bands. This treatment is popular with both patients and orthodontists and is the top alternative to traditional braces.

Made from a comfortable plastic material custom-designed for your smile, Invisalign aligners will have a snug fit on your teeth. If you don’t wear the aligners as directed can harm the results and add time to the orthodontic process. The trays are virtually invisible, and you’ll usually switch them out every 1-2 weeks for the next series. Wear your aligners 20-22 hours per day throughout treatment so they can work correctly. These steps are what will move your teeth in the right direction.

Invisalign works best for mild to moderate oral problems. With more complex issues, Invisalign may not be a good option. A free consultation with Selden Orthodontics will help you find out your eligibility for Invisalign in Charlotte.
